| Hello and Welcome! We had so much fun last year and so many of you requested we do it again so.....we are happy to announce our 2nd annual Pillowcase Challenge! |

| September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness month. This year we are answering the call by assisting Ryan's Case for Smiles with their nation-wide goal of 40,000 pillowcases for the month of September. Each year, approximately 40,000 children are in cancer treatement across the country. Ryan's Case for Smiles is a non-profit organization that wants to deliver one pillowcase for each child in treatment. With your help, we can play an important part in their goal. We are teaming up with our local Oregon Ryan's Case for Smiles Chapter for distribution. If you would prefer to donate directly to your local state chapter, you can find their webpage directory HERE. At this time, only pillowcases shipped to us for distribution will be eligible for our challenge prizes. |

| Our goal this year for our Pillowcase Challenge is to donate 1500 pillowcases. It's easy for you to take part in the challenge, even if you're a new sewer! (We have all the details listed below.) |

| Who doesn't like another reason to play with beautiful fabrics?! Pillowcases are a fun and fast sewing project. I know from experience, they are addictive! I start out to sew just a few pillowcases and before I know it I am sewing up piles of lovely coordinated fabric. This is a great project for beginners learning how to coordinate fabric....you only need 3 pieces of fabric!

| So let's get to sewing! We have a lofty goal of 1500 pillowcases and it's time to get busy. (Last year you smashed our 750 pillowcase goal coming in at 1080 total pillowcases delivered to us!) With your help, we can make our goal and help Ryan's Case for Smiles make a dent in their goal. We have included prizes to help incentify you! The more you make, the better your chance at winning one of the online Bear Creek Quilting Company Gift Certificates. Pillowcases should be shipped to us for organizing and distribution. We are looking for pillowcase fabric themes for boys and girls ages 2-17 years old. Full details are outlined below. |

Contributors are only eligible to win in one of the two contributor tiers: individual or group, not both. Bear Creek Quilting Company employees and families are encouraged to contribute to the challenge but are not eligible for prizes. Any decisions not listed that arise are at the discretion of Bear Creek Quilting Company. |
