| Hello, Friends! I'm Amy from "Amy Made That!" blog and I'm happy to be sharing a tutorial for quick, easy and beautiful Joyeaux Noel ornaments. |

| I designed these ornaments specifically to be made using the Joyeaux Noel fabric line by French General for Moda. |

| The first time I saw these fabrics, I swear I felt faint! The colors are soft and subdued...elegant shades of faded red, pearl and stone. They just stole my heart! |
 |
| I love the vintage-style motifs, in a fancy frame. They are just perfect for fussy-cutting and fusing, then featuring them in an ornament. |
 |
| If you are short on time or don't have much sewing experience, these ornaments are still the perfect project for you! |

| I think they would be fun to make with kids, too. Let me show you how easy and quick they are to make. |

For each ornament:
|
| Following manufacturer's instructions, adhere the fusible webbing to the wrong side of the Joyeaux Noel motif, making sure the edges of the fusible webbing extend beyond the outline of the motif. When the webbing has cooled, carefully cut out the framed motif, along the edges. Remove the paper backing. Center the motif on the background. Using an iron, follow the manufacturer's instructions to adhere the motif to the background fabric. Fold the 3" piece of ric rac in half and center it at the top of the ornament front. With raw edges aligned, stitch the ric rac loop in place, about 1/8" from the edge of the fabric. Place the front and backing pieces right sides together and pin along all 4 sides. The ric rac loop will be hidden between the fabric layers. Start stitching along the left side edge, about 1 1/2" from the top of the ornament. Sew from the edge straight in to the 1/4" seam line, backstitching for strength. Put the needle down and turn the ornament so that you can sew 1/4" from the edge until the top left corner is 1/4" away. Stop the needle down and turn the corner. Continue all around the ornament in the same way until you are about 2" from the starting point. With the needle down, stitch off the edge of the ornament, with a backstitch to finish. TIP: Stitching off the edges of the seam will make it very easy to turn the ornament. Trim the corner seam allowances, being careful not to cut through the stitching. Turn the ornament right sides out and use a chopstick or turning tool to push out the corners gently and to smooth out the edges. Tug the ric rac hanging loop into place. Fold the unsewn seam allowance in neatly. Press the ornament. Topstitch the ornament with a 1/8" seam. |

| Use the ornaments in so many ways...individual ornaments are beautiful on a wreath of Christmas tree. Tie them onto packages to make charming gift tags. String them together with more ric rac, a strip of fabric or a ribbon to make a garland or bunting for a railing or a fireplace mantel. |
