Patty’s Tips for the Tree Row:

Sewing the Stars for the Tops of the Trees

  1. Prepare the Template
Use the Triangle Template paper provided in your pattern.  (We have heard from some customers this was missing from their pattern. Please contact us and we will email you the template.

  2. Adjust Stitch Length
Set your sewing machine to a shorter stitch length. This will make removing the paper easier later.

  3. Layer the Fabrics
Place your fabric layers together, then position the Triangle Template paper on top with the printed side facing up.

  4. Sew the Triangles
Stitch along the solid sewing lines on the template.

  5. Trim the Units
Cut on the solid black cutting lines to separate the units.

  6. Repeat for All Fabric Sets
Follow the same steps for both the red & white fabric combination and the red & green combination.

Step 3: Finishing the Triangle Units

  1. Press and Remove Paper
Press your blocks open, then gently tear away the Triangle Template paper.

  2. Trim the Corners
Carefully trim the points off the corners of each block for cleaner alignment.

  3. Assemble the Blocks
Arrange your blocks as shown in the diagram or photo.

  4. Press the Center Seam
Sew the blocks together and press the center seam open for a flatter finish.

  5. Add the White Squares
Sew the white squares to the sides of the block. Press these seams toward the center.

Step 7: Marking the Diagonal Sewing Lines

  1. Select the Pieces
    Gather pieces E, C, B, and A.

  2. Align Your Ruler
Using a ruler with a 45° angle guide, position it diagonally across each square as shown in the reference image.

  3. Mark the Sewing Lines
Draw a diagonal sewing line on the back of each piece, following the 45° guideline.

Continue piecing your blocks and sewing your Tree Row together, following the pattern instructions.

Note: We have reached out to LaVonne about the Video Tutorial mentioned in the pattern as we were not able to find it on YouTube.
She provided us with the updated link.
