Quilts are everywhere throughout town, for this one-day only show! Outside, inside, around corners and hanging from balconies. And this year did not disappoint. What an amazing turn-out of beautiful quilts for display! If you followed us on Facebook, you know we had technically difficulties with the cellular coverage on the day of the show and were not able to post pictures during the day as we had wanted. But, as promised, we took as many pictures as we could. With over 1400 quilts on display, were not able to see or photograph all of them but we hope you enjoy this display of the ones we did get. |

39th Annual Quilt Show! On a Saturday in July, 39 years ago, Jean Wells Keenan hung a dozen of her student's quilts outside her quilt shop, The Stitchin' Post. This small gesture grew into an annual event in Sisters, the nation's largest outdoor quilt show which now serves as the celebratory anchor of summer in the community. Over 1400 quilts from around the world cover the 1880's-style town in rich texture and color. |

This is just a very small photo collection of the quilts on display. Credit goes out to all the quilt designers, quilt makers and machine quilters that created ALL the 1400+ beautiful quilts in the show. We were not able to catch individual names with the photos but if anyone recognizes a quilt, please send us an email and we would love to give personal credit to your quilt. sales@bearcreekquiltingcompany.com |
