Tulip Garden by Deborah Edwards for Northcott

Tulip Garden, Deborah Edwards' latest collection celebrates one of her favorite spring flowers. Originally from Asia, but popularized by the Netherland, tulips were once the most expensive flower. During "Tulip Mania" in the 1600s, they were worth 10 times more than the average working man's salary. Selected varieties were so treasured they were more valuable than some homes. Purple tulips symbolize royalty and exude an air of sophistication. Delicate and exquisitely details, Tulip Garden is characterized by lush purples and greens. Included in the collection are several featured prints including an apron and oven mitts. The featured panel is a tryptic that can be used as a focal point in a quilt or wall-hanging or deconstructed to use as blocks. A variety of tulip prints in various scales and values are offered while a selection of small prints and blenders complements the collection.
