Aurifil Monofilament is a multi-purpose invisible nylon thread. It has no published thread weight but can be compared to the thickness of a 100 weight cotton thread. Because it is made of Nylon, it will stretch.
Aurifil Monofilament can be used in your domestic and longarm machine for quilting. The invisible stitches look spectacular on any fabric. For lighter colored fabrics the white/clear monofilament color is suggested. And on darker fabrics the black/smoke monofilament thread is suggested. Monofilament thread allows you to stitch across a variety of fabrics colors without changing thread color.
Monofilament thread can be used for invisible machine applique; ideal for raw edge, needle turn, or fused applique. Choose a straight, zig-zag, or free motion stitch to achieve beautiful results. Use it for machine stitch-in-the-ditch, English Paper Piecing, couching, and binding.
